The hinges have elongated holes in the top which just nedd easing a bit more, we welded bolts on the plate to replace the original which sheered off, so have some work on to tidy the glas round the studs.

Is that an 'allowed adjustment' using the hinge bolts or is it going to be a big hammer and crowbar?

your right, both side need to move a bit

It looks from this angle like the top hinge needs to head inboard about 3/4 of an inch.
