"why you breaking the Phaeton vern?"
Dave, Another year with little progress having been made, life has been getting in the way and pushed the poor old dutton down the priority order, now sadly the Dutton itself is getting in the way so its time for the phaeton project to move on.
May sell as a rolling chassis+bodywork or break if there's more interest in just the parts.
I am thinking hard here Span... I may have a proposition but need to speak to a couple of people. PM me your Tel No
why you breaking the Phaeton vern?
Sadly the risk of selling on ebay now is that it'll get broken up for spares :-( that said I'm shortly to be breaking my phaeton :-(
That is a real shame after all of the work that you guys have put in, and the money too. 3 years is a lot of investment only to have to let it go so close to the finish line. If it is ready for its MOT then you might lose a lot by selling it now, compared to what you might get with an MOT. Having to trailer it could be a pain for someone living further away, so it will limit the buyers as well as the price that they are willing to pay.
He's spent just short of £500, going on Ebay next week starting at £300 all the hard work is done.
I know, bit our James now has a work van and lost interest in it. Next Sunday we've been rebuilding for 3 years.
It has new discs and M16 caliper up front new wheel cylinders on the rear. Recon 1300 crossflow, 4 speed box, replacement diff, front suspension poly bushed, 6 clock escort dash, restored doors the list goes on
Anyone interested it may just be up for sale.
There's a pair of 205/60/13's on 8 spokes or a full set of alloys with legal tyres on, problem is 2 of the alloys keep deflating.
The 8 spokes would be better on the back as they are a little off balance.
