I bought these ones from the land rover show in Northamptonshire, they're only cheap but seem fine. I've only tried them on quite thin tube and only used them to make the old tubes round where they were dented or mishaped from being bent so they seem to have been fine. The tube you see which is slitted is me repairing some dents and damage from where there hung out of the bottom of a land rover previously.

Have you had much luck with those pipe expanders? I bought a set and broke the first one the first time I used it. I put the expander about 1/2" into the pipe but as I tightened it then one of the plates broke in half. It looks like you slotted the pipe - is that what I should have done?
