Liam Bourne replied to Liam Bourne's discussion Has anyone registered as MOT exempt?
"Right I've been on the DVLA website and tried to declare it but by the looks of it the car isn't registered as historic yet. The website tried to charge me for the tax again even though the post office did it for free.... I'll try…"

Adrian Southgate replied to Liam Bourne's discussion Has anyone registered as MOT exempt?
"If the car is VED exempt and therefore registered as a 'vehicle of historic interest'  so getting it recorded as exempt from the MOT test is basically down to you. I think it becomes available on it's 41st birthday. VED exemption…"

"Stupid question: Is this pure optics or is it supposed to be useful? Does the Phaeton not have the general problem to have massive lift at the front with high speeds (>100 km/h)? Pressing it down on the rear might even worsen it? Well maybe not,…"

Rear shot of the cage before welding and cross bracing

"Yes there is an extensive amount of bracing planned for all of it on all 4 sides. Yes it does look high but I needed to have it at that height to be able to fit a helmet for track days. My original plan was to lower the seating position and…"

"Any diagonals going into that rear hoop? It looks quite a lot higher at the back - is that just the angle or do you just like the hot rod look?"
