yep mine spins over just fine.
Now to see if the clutch release arm works.....
That bodes well for mine I think!
In fact my fork came with the gearbox so it's probably pinto as well.
Previously I did something like this on another car and I bent (cut/weld) the fork to make it straighter (I think - it was a long time ago) to work with the zetec modeo clutch, but i was never sure if that was really necessary
Great useful info on that starter part number btw. I had to search high & low and then take risk on whether may ebay one would fit!
Steve, it is a standard 1800 flywheel and ring gear, the flywheel has been re drilled to accept a Pinto clutch and release bearing assy, also using a pinto clutch fork. as I could not get the zetec clutch to work successfully. Starter motor is LRS707
Oops, just saw you said it was a zetec flywheel. Is it also the standard ring gear?
What flywheel did you use? I'm using a standard zetec which fits, complete with clutch and the release arm looks like it should be ok also, but I'm not sure whether the starter will fit the ring gear yet. Might try spinning it over at the weekend.........
