Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

Sue and I went for a little spin in the car today, just for the hell of it.
I was more than a little surprised to be driving through this little hamlet in Lancashire.

When we moved to this house 15 years ago, we only moved about 200 yards. At the time I was restoring a Porsche 914, the day we moved in 4 of us pushed it to the new house as a bare rolling body shell, no windows, no interior just a milk crate as a seat. Our new neighbours must have thought the Clampet's had arrived. 15 years on I think they maybe used to me now.

It wouldn't be as low as when the Phaeton project was delivered (on the back of a very tired Transit).  Or as low as the time my eBay bargain BMW arrived, a £76 BMW 320i, taxed and test, but 50 different shades of red.

We can easily lower the tone I am sure, I think a visit to the centre of the known Universe is in order. I'll find a photo and post it shortly.

If the lads had been with me I would have dropped by, lowered the tone of the neighbourhood David.

Yes, it's between Longridge and Clitheroe.  There are some good lunch stops in the area, or if your struggling, it's only 10 -15 minutes(depending how you drive) away from my house.  A few years ago I used to get paid for driving down those roads, great fun.

Up near Longridge. The one we passed in Cheshire was clutton...

I am sure that we can find a lunch stop up there and do a run along the trough sometime soon, I've never been before and it was quite a good run, very much like hardknot but without those hills and potholes.

Did over 100 miles today just for the fun of it, must be bloody mad.

Would guess it is near Clitheroe.  I am sure it is the sign I have driven past on a number of times and thought I wish I had a camera with me.
