Martin. We worked on accurate figures (up to the last second) however, as James has said, redesigned the mag to be in a cheaper price bracket on the postage, simples. At the current cost level this is sustainable for the near future. Numbers have risen as I haven't removed anyone who paid since the last mag was produced. This will also be the case on the next issue as you will all be getting reminders in the next mag to pay fees even if some of them are adjusted for various reasons.

I wasn't in charge of drawing up the mailing list but we thought that we owed a magazine to last year's members.

All of the mags were posted together yesterday morning, including yours Ade. I'm amazed that some have arrived already.

The magazine is a little thinner than previous ones and that crucially reduced the total weight below the 100 gram threshold, so the postage was less than half the price. We also used different printers, Cambrian Printers in Aberystwyth, and they were as cheap as any on-line printers. I am a bit disappointed that the cover pictures are somewhat darker then expected, probably because of the gloss finish, but apart from that they have done a good job. All in, it worked out to be less than half the cost of the last magazine. Size matters!

So I am now thinking about the next magazine and I have lots of pictures of my Legerra, stories of my exploits, details of my home made rev-counter and other electronics project and some pictures of our dog. If you would like some alternative content then you'd better get your thinking caps on and send me some ideas on editor@duttonownersclub.co.uk

Besides the magazine I received a final tax rebate, I am no longer in debt to the government or the vat man. So after adjustment for this that and whatever, I have paid to much tax, so they sent me a Christmas bonus, £9-81 ! Won't keep me in sage and onion, still, better in my pocket.

I saw the postie arrive ages ago however (as usual) junk mail, bills and the radio times was all he had to offer.

I just had a wee thought... did I ask for mine via PDF... Probably not.

Pigeon arrived about eleven, didn't bother looking in case it was Bill's. Or Christmas card's that I forgot to answer. Anyway like polishing, that's woman's work.
