On that Melos the six clock dash alone should cover the current asking price. The chassis looks in good nick, springs and front shocks look nearly new. It would make s sound purchase for someone looking for a spare chassis.
Some escort parts are no longer produced, some are just stupidly expensive, driven up by rarity and desirability, there are plenty of 'repaired' shells knocking around. I think some of the kits are broken as they still exist as 'ford escort' on the V5C.
I don't understand this trend for breaking escort based kit cars for parts.
Surely the real shortage should be for shells after so many were scrapped years ago ,
Why should there be a parts shortage?
this is on ebay being broken it looks like it is a very tidy car and a shame to break it.
that melos is free to a good home.........
Melos found on facebook........its in the swansea area i think.
Hello all. I've had the kit car arrive. It has a dutton chassis plate with m4317 on it. No engine number. Will it be any good to anyone. Crazing on fibreglass in places. Chassis / steelwork looks ok. I don't want anything for it but will be removing the running gear etc as that is the only reason I bought it. I have a couple of people interested but if anyone else is then private message me for details etc. It is located in West Wales. I would be interested in seeing pics of these finished or info on any. Certainly not to my taste but then I've never seen one complete. Are there many left?
