If you currently have a crossflow fitted, changing to a pinto is a body off job, not to be taken on lightly. I've done two now and its a pain in the backside for very little gain in BHP.
The pro's are better torque, increased weight on the front wheels so less understeer.
The Con's are, increased overall weight, increased fuel consumption, body off to sort the gearbox mount, you'll have to move the steering column, exhaust, radiator, front x member in the engine bay, steering rack, radiator, ALL the cables, wiring and plumbing. (and that list makes it sound Soooo easy)
The question can be asked.......they have been in a lock up for years.
to be honest Adrian the 1600's could be a better bet than the wheezy 2.0l pinto the Sierra has at the moment....
the guy also has a mk4 cortina and a .sierra cosworth with bda engine......they are not up for grabs though.
So tempted.....
