ill have a good luck tmz not shure. but i think it will involve dropping the rack again...where as the polly bush way is just nuts and bolts
depends on how long the splines are on the drop link / bottom of the column. You may be able to slide one up and then slide it back down onto the rack. Depends on the angle it has to negotiate too.
It would be simple if the drivers side rack clamp was undone though. Make sure you preserve the bolts as they don't come with a U/J.
ok ade thanks. does that involve dropping the rack back down...?
Replacing that flexi is good, rubber ones can cause 'indecisive' steering especially on motorways
Powerflex have less give than rubber but look good and from what I heard, last longer.
Personally i'd go U/J, pressed steel (£25) don't seem to last as long as forged ones (£45). Benefits are more positive, precise steering and more flexibility, negatives are initial cost and a slight increase in feedback over rougher roads.
Both the Sierra and the Legerra are fitted with U/J's, the Legerra responds to any movement of the steering wheel instantly.
My mate has a powerflex one. Pretty colour.
They never look good, as long as it's not split.
@ graham. yes may be best way.
@ steve that one looks worse than mine, hardtop not if you really want one
thanks gents
Few on the evil bay, bit pricy though, same as that hardtop, bit pricy :-))
