Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

Working on the new letters for the club's 'refurb' into office from works.

Using the new logo and setting up mail merge links to the database, re-writing all the letters we commonly use in word rather than works... my eyes hurt and so does my brain. This might be easy stuff for office wallahs but its made my brain hurt, looking forward to tomorrow when it's supposed to be dry and I could possibly get a chance to do my head gasket.

Did i mention that my brain hurts?

I had oil in my water with my Omega. It overheated. The whole cooling system was full of sludge. It took hours of hosing to get the sludge out, but it seems to be okay now. That was caused by a leaky oil cooler - quite common on the GM V6's

Currently in the middle of head removal to sort the gasket issue. Its been running below normal since I fitted the capri rad and I thought i'd left the thermostat out, turns out I was wrong. Even if the stat was stuck open it would warm up. I am now wondering if this is a 2.8 rad. It is much taller than an escort rad. With the amount of oil thats leaked into the water i would have expected it to run hot not cold. I am now officially perplexed..

Well... that 'dry spell' lasted all of about 3 minutes, I am beginning to dislike this weather :-(

I too posted a reply and it hasn't appeared. Suns out so i'm off to tinker, decided to get the head gasket done in the garage next to work and pay for it... that way if it goes wrong I can point the finger at someone else :-)

time to make some stuff I guess...

It was playing up for me too. I posted on "the Devon Dog on a mission" last night and it didn't list it on the Main Activity page, which regularly disappeared.

No need, all the documents have been done now. The old ones were out of date and needed re-writing anyway. Just need to write the macro's and control functions into the database so it all becomes one click operation. I have a professional helping me with that as I need to learn how its done in case it needs to be replicated in future. Its the mail merge fields and the control functions in the actual database that are slow to write and test. In the mean time the old works database is functioning normally so stuff's still getting done.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about it as it's an educational process and I'm learning from it. As I now spend most of my work day staring at a 22" flat screen its not always my first choice of things to do when I get home from work, hence the brain ache. Now i'm going to shoot pirates for a while, therapeutic of course it is...

Surely you can get a works convertor for office Ade and then just save them in word and edit with new logos?
