To all you lads that have seen my fully renovated v8 phaeton
I was thinking about a new project as I have got to the stage that I can not do anything more to it
The question is ........ how much do you think it is worth ?? I would appreciate you comments on this matter

I also think export it the right answer for yours Alfie, much as though I hate to admit it will be the best way to get the best return.
I would expect a V8 Phaeton in great condition would go for at well over $12,000 over here in the U.S.A. but I would hate to think what the shipment fee would be today.
I have not seen any Dutton sell for more than £3000 on ebay, but then I've not seen a V8. The biggest engines I have seen are V6's. I would suggest that you would be very unlikely to get £4500 on this side of the Channel but I might be wrong.
I think that your car must be one of the best Duttons. To my mind it has the best chassis and the best engine, plus it looks in really good condition.
To get the widest coverage, I would suggest an ebay classified advert which seem to run for a month. I think I have seen them where the seller sets a price but also invites offers. You could try "buy it at £4500 or make me an offer". The £4500 would set the buyer's expectations nice and high.
I have just been looking at your pictures and it does look very nice. So what is the spec?
3.5 Rover V8 from a P6 or an SD1 or an MGB?
4 Speed gearbox? with overdrive?
What rear axle and what diff ratio?
I can see doors in the pictures but do you have a hood too?
Hi Alfie
Prices for good ones have gone up recently but I think so much depends on how urgently you need to move it.
A classified advert on a sensible car site would see it reach a better price but it may take longer to sell it to the right person, ebay is for quick sales but I really don't see you getting anywhere near what it's actually worth. It's worth more than the sum of all the parts and unfortunately ebay won't even get you that price unless you are really lucky.
My own personal opinion would be to aim higher and be willing to haggle, you know how well built it is.
With MOT, as a reliable, turnkey driveaway, I'd start at £4k - £4.5k. and see what sort of response you get.
What a shame, are you sure you want to part with it Alfie? I'd love to buy it, but I'm just about to build one, well, start to build one. Good luck with the sale, those continental's will love that one and hopefully pay you a good price.
