Yes, the car survived fine. I also came off again about a lap later on the back of the circuit. The car wouldn't grip like it had done in June with Nick Carlin. I think it might have been the tyre pressures were too high. The best lap, driving sole, was 1:40.5 - almost exactly the same as when I had Nick in the car. It was a bit disappointing but still great fun.
The starter motor stopped engaging after about 4 sessions but I had to go back to work for the afternoon anyway. Besides, I was knackered after 30 laps.
Errr... I assume you managed to drive back from your little incident though James...
There is a particularly interesting bit at about 42 seconds into the video when the car is overtaken by some mad fool in a Dutton... eventually the driver (mikebishop) learns how to do it himself!
