The legerra as a 1700 crossflow fitted and it starts easy when cold but when it's warmed up and parked I find It hard to start. What you guys think?
No smoke from engine at anytime during running. I've ordered a new coil and will replace fuel pump.

If you are not having problems when it is cold then I would doubt that it is a fuel disappearing problem because that would occur when it was cold too - the fuel would evaporate (or drain) while the engine was hot and then when the car had cooled down the carb would still be empty and take loads of cranking to refill.

Also heat related problems with the coil ought to give some problems when running too, because the engine bay would probably be hotter then and the coil would be under higher load.

So you have me stumped.

Are you using choke? My Pinto seems to need choke to start when I think it should be warm, for example, when I come home for lunch and restart an hour later.

What do you do to eventually get it started because that might help to identify the cause?

I'll do some compression tests tomorrow cold and then hot, put in the electronic ignition with a new coil and try to do a leak down test as well.

I have to keep cranking the engine with a little throttle to get it to start. Will post the results here for opinion's
