bled my brakes today, took a while as space was tight in the garage and it was damn cold, but its done now non the less

i used my super home made brake bleeder i made some years back

which consists of a pressure sprayer and a far length of screen wash hose, one end sealed to the bottle and the other to the cap

with the trigger locked to spray and the bottle filled with fluid you can
begin, one push on the plunger results in a controlled push of fluid
from the nipple, with the nipple open no pressure gets built up in the
reservoir just a controllable flow of fluid from the bleed hose, one its
running its just a case of working from one corner to the other, the
hose to the reservoir is long enough to reach round the car ;D

Just for clarification this one wasn't my idea, but a friend on the Quantum owners forum (Jin) but i thought it was worth sharing on here.

no problem mate

if anyone wishes to do the same then the best advice is to get a good quality sprayer, one that is suitable for chemicals- about £10 of ebay

Hi Dave

Now that looks a goodun.

Does it work with out pushing the brake pedal? or should you lock pedal down.

Finally finished kitchen and extension, started to clear the garage again.

Hope to get brakes working then Melos back into garage for finishing of the mods on bumper and tail lights.

How is the front end of yours going?

No, the point of a pressure bleeder is you don't need to operate the brake pedal. It is better for master cylinder! Have not made a start on my car yet, I am still at work...... :-( I hope to start this weekend.
