I have been asked to show how i fitted  the radiator to my S1, its a Rover 214 is radiator with a VW golf/polo expansion tank and using the rover fan and switch (with override switch)

The shielding from the nose cone to direct air flow through the radiator,

The radiator slopes back a little to fit under the bonnet, the white plastic on top of the radiator seals to the bonnet bulge,

my bottom hose is very close to the steering rack it joins with a rt angle bend then through a second rt angle bend and across to the lower part of the engine bay to the lower hose connection on the engine. it does look quite convoluted, but works well.
