Does any one know if Q plates will be entitled to tax free status when they reach the required age?? Must be some aiming towards that time.

I have a Q plate that is old but, I miscounted the years, missed a decade, so never mind.

The tax exemption is from date of manufacture not date of registration. This is also due to be tightened when the registration of older kit cars gets tightened up later this year.

It would seem logical if the year of manufacture was assumed to be the year of registration, for kit cars without any other date. After all they can't have registered it if it wasn't already made, they would have inspected it surely. But logic might not work for the government.
