Mate wanted a sunken battery box, so I cut a big hole in his scuttle, it's only alloy, bend up and fabricate a great box, fits in the hole with a nice flange for rivets. Just getting to the end when he turns up and announces he has bought a small race battery, so tomorrow I have to modify the box make the hole smaller and try to tidy it all up. Or leave it and pack it out with neoprene sponge, or just have a day on the beach, at least it's sunny and warm.

lol Steve, Just tell him to return that battery and get one that fits the new box. Bigger batteries put out more power and last longer.

At last a great day, gremlins have gone, spent all day out in shorts making a new bulkhead for the Marlin, lots of trimming and lots of pop rivets and sealant. 3mm alloy, loads of reflection off the bright new sheet to remind you the sun is out. Hope it stays for tomorrow, I have a journey to make and the B+ needs a run. Plus a day away from the Marlin will help straighten my poor back :-))
