Wondering if someone can give me advice on handbrake cables

My Dutton S2  is running Cortina back axle, does not have a handbrake mechanism, the hand brake lever is present but no cable connecting it to the actuators.

What handbrake cable do I need, I was obviously thinking Cortina, and however given that the handbrake lever is practically above the back axle I was wondering if the Cortina cable would be too long and I need something else or can the Cortina one be shortened.

Any help would be appreciated

i made my own cable up from a Citroen AX handbrake cable (just one) and some home made brackets it works very well with my hand brake producing more effort than the foot brake. look at my S1 rebuild i am sure there is something on it about my handbrake.
