on my last car (the S1) i used two reliant robin fuel tanks trimmed to suit and welded together end to end and that gave me a capacity of about 10 gals.
The Legerra has an oblong box for a fuel tank and it is very rusty inside, so i need a new one.
so what's recommended by you lot as being easy to find and use?
me..... i am planning to make one from scratch, unless some one out there comes up with an easy to find and use alternative.

If you are making one yourself then what material and thickness would you intend to use? What interior finish? How would you do the joints? Also there is the question of baffles. I am not questioning your idea, or your ability, I'm just interested. I wouldn't know where to start. I expect that there are some rules about fuel tanks - I'm guessing that fibreglass is out of the question?
thinking of using stainless steel at 1mm or so thickness, failing that 1mm mild steel with 15mm X 1.5mm angle iron edges......
since i have a TIG welder joining it all together should be fairly straight forward....i hope it needs to be baffled and have some kind swirl pot arrangement for the fuel pump to sit in, since i plan to use he ford injection on the Zetec.
