Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

some pics of the rebuild process,

the top trailing arm bracket is broke......

the diff is sloping back a little (looking up) so that will need sorting.......

As you can see there isn't a lot of bracing in an S1 chassis, that will be sorted.

Nope....

it was the colour of my first Dutton. A Malaga B+.

I needed a steering column shroud for the car, so i got a card board tube from a carpet shop skip.

then i cut a short length off......and shape it for the dash.....

then made some brackets to fit it to the dash (easier than making a bracket to fit to the steering column.)

I just need to seal it with fibreglass resin and paint it ........and job done.

you can also see that i have been fitting some redwood ply for the dash......and cut out some of the holes the main dash you can see has some holes marked out to be cut.

As you can see it's coming together......i  wasnt going to put wood on the near side.......but i will now.

Once it's all sorted it will be painted  black....it'still in primer and needs a bit more sanding to be good enough .......

is that a posh glove box i see....? or cd player..?

It's a cup holder from the rear seat of a rover 800......a few quid from  my local scrappers....

i want one...off to scrappers again soon :-)))

one here....

you might want this one Brian......

you said £2 lol im from yorkshire i went off it when i noticed the price :-)

i have thought about doing that though getting stuff from scrappers cleaning it up and selling on ebay.....£12 profit their.  :-)
