Ahh, thanks Brian, all done. But I may yet need it if this bodge   job doesn't work out.

Tank all out, surprisingly heavy with £20 of unleaded in it. Feed pipe has rusted through and the new rubber pipe is porous. Just pulled the sender and about to braze a piece of 8mm copper for the pick up. If you hear a big bang you know what it is :-))

There's a guy up the road with a very smart landie off road thing. He works for local landie garage. He has "access" to the stores and is getting me a sample, to see if it's feasible. No rush yet, winter is a long way off :-))

@ James: I have a wire for the choke, waiting for a new cable to arrive. Just to make it OK I bypassed the heater, that will get taken care of this week. The servo is disconnected, think its leaking vacuum, Have a spare good one plus I need to find a tidy way to plumb in the air pipe. The chrome pipe is stainless and will be replaced with something suitable. The servo was on it when I got it and works fine, well it did, I have a remote one to put on the B+ once I can find some space for it. Going for big brakes up front, weighing up the pros and cons of Land Rover 4 pots. Daryl put me on to them and my original Triumph ones are getting tired.

That looks very neat, Steve. I like the black spiral on the red leads. What are you doing about a choke? Is that chrome pipe for the heater return? That's a bit de luxe for a Dutton, mine just has copper plumbing. Is your servo connected? None of my kits has a servo, even the Rickman, and they seem fine to me.

Battery in the boot, coupled up with a welding lead :-)) That plate is the original chassis plate of the rusty Escort that the car was reincarnated from. My Dutton plate is ineligible, its sort of fading away, I may get a new one when I can afford it :-))
