1600cc crossflow firing sequence

hi

does anyone know the correct firing sequence for 1600cc crossflow,and is it anti clockwise? any information would be very helpful. . The engine is running ,but backfiring thru the exhaust and the carbs(twin 40s)

firing sequence was correct ,the carbs were all over the place

Sounds like timing 180' out John. it will try to start but back fires and chuffs. Worth a look.
