how easy is the wiring side of it

It’s the 1.6. Going to go with the fuel injection for now

ill just source everything I need and start in the new year

John, are you planning to run the vehicle fuel injection? If so then it would probably pay to get an MX5 wiring loom and fit that as it would be easier. A good resource here may be the Exocet forum over at MEV. Do you have a 1.6 or 1.8? I have a twin weber inlet manifold if your thinking of going 'old school' :)

I will be watching this with interest, I'm doing this now. I have the ecu etc. on the early cars they did not have all the immobiliser gubbings and in the next few weeks I will begin picking off all the surplus cables. I got the complete loom and switches and a few bare ends :-)
