I agree, most of the  R.S's improvements were in the handling department, engine was bored, even kept the same cam and carb, still a nice car though, before anyone buys it I'd advise sitting in it first, very tight feel to it compared to later models. Small cockpit etc.

The capri 3.1 RS engine is a rare beast as ford only made 185 of them or there abouts....

Duttons are making a little more money these days but over 1800 is not common...the Malaga B+ could well be worth more.....or not. i was asked by the owner what i thought it was worth, its a tricky question i said it should be worth at least 1800, but it might make 2000. then again it could sit for weeks on ebay and not quite make that. later in the year (spring time ) it should get a little over 2K on any good day. i said i could get a Dutton enthusiast to take it on and keep it in country.....i have had my eye on this one for a few months and if i had the readies in the bank it would be on my drive now....perhaps needing a little work but that wouldn’t faze me at all.

anyway i asked if he would accept 1800 and he said yes, he would like more (who wouldn't) but for a quick hassle free sale he could go for it, there does seem to be a bit of interest in it so perhaps a deal mutually acceptable to all can be found, he has a new Radiator and cooling fans for it (as yet unfitted) and did use it a little last year, he said it was a little bit lively to drive.

my mate ( he was a police cadet then) had an original RS3100 Capri, used to go well but didnt corner to well, always had to go  back and help him out of a ditch :-)) He was the same on bikes, we nicknamed him "straight"

Where about is it, if someone wanted to have a look? Do you have any other photos, like engine compartment?
