Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

Legerra body and chassis with tags, plates and V5C on Ebay, BIN price is £495 but its in bloody Scotland.

This was the one listed a while ago as only being used for a year then mothballed. Its now been stripped of the engine, diff and probably g/box too.

A very sad end unless someone wants to step up and save it.

Its got a hard top too James...

Hell of a long way to drag that home, relay team needed :-)

well its another one for the Legerra gallery's......

Its already on the gallery, pics from when it was first dragged out of the barn it had sat in for 20 years.

Relay team would be on as far as i'm concerned. One way trailer rental from Indespension, find someone to drag it down to the border and i'll drag it back here, someone willing to drag it from mine to the next hand over point, if it was all done for 'cost of fuel' then it wouldnt be so bad.

where is it advatised

The first bit of text is a link, its on eBay but listed as dutton lagerra

Oh, you suspicious thing you :-)

I think that there are two valuable items: screen and hardtop. I have got a white hardtop for now but a black one would probably look better (when I eventually get around to fitting it in the summer).

Quick calculation: 529 miles each way from me, just over 8 hours travel each way (keeping to the speed limit) approx 40 gallons of unleaded @ £1.03 per litre = to much for me to contemplate :))  PS, sorry Daryl, misread what you said, stupid tablet had the sun on it.

well I consider the whole thing deserves saving as a car not parts. But he who pays the piper calls the tune etc.

I agree.

So worth saving the hardtop to swap with James, then the white car will have a white roof and James will have the black roof he wants.

Worth preserving as they are rare (comparatively speaking) its registered, has documents and tags and should still be 'mobile' with help.

BIN price is £495 but open to offers, probably not viable dragging back to the south coast but more sensible to consider anywhere north of Brum.

If 60 of us chipped in £10 there would be enough to buy it, recover it and store it for a while, giving us a vehicle with a value of £600. Still a reasonable price for a Legerra project base given the backup that would come with it when we sold it on. We could also add to that value by adding bits we as a community have lying around in our sheds, garages and workshops. The question is simple, do we want to do this? I'm in favour and having checked the distances ... its a long day out from my house.

Bung him an offer, like £300 cash. And we (note the royal we) will drag it away.
