Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

I have rigged an experimental page on the DOC site.

It does require java and may prompt you to download java and /or activex content.

I have written this page and tested all the components and this is safe to do so. Once the page loads it may take upto 60 seconds on a slow  connection to become 'active' this is normal and you will see what i mean by 'active' quite quickly.

If we use Java on any of the DOC pages this will be required to enable correct function of the pages.

Give it a go and please leave a comment, is it a pain to load?

When you finish getting burned retinas just close the page... :-)

And a very merry Christmas to you and yours too.  :-))

Thanks Paul.

It was just a ten minute break from arguing with microsoft works...

Did you just close the page or try to click the back button?

once i re-enabled JAVA it worked, however i generally disable JAVA as it cuts lots of bandwidth hogging crap from loading web pages....

Well that sort of answers one unasked question.

I was looking at options for the website and java script menus were one them. If some people have it disabled the the menus won't work, others it just returns an error. I'll try macromedia flash over christmas and see what happens then.

Daryl.....get rid of horrible windows explorer....spit , spit

use something like firefox.....less problems

Loaded no problem, had to load Java  as it isnt included on chrome but seems to work with it ok ,

and merry christmas to all of you and yours also .

As a general rule I have all the toys enabled on my PC, flash, Java etc so to test compatability with other peoples setup's means I have to run experiments. This proved that Java is not compatible with everybody and therefore will not be used on the DOC website.

I've got a macromedia suite on the old PC so will try some of that over the holidays.

when i boot into linux it has every thing running. just the windows partition where its disabled.

also when using my mobile for my internet i dont have it running all the time as it slows downloads

Cannot view as I dont allow java on my PC's or anything with unknown publisher. Had too many viruses that have hyjacked the active controls in java.

Seems to be a common issue so I won't use Java on the website. Shame as it would have enabled me to do some nice flashy stuff but I do realise not everyone has the luxury of a linux based firewall system to stop the 'nasties'.

I can do a lot of the stuff manually in html, it just takes a lot longer to encode.

Just for those who may be wondering, I'm not redesigning the whole DOC website just looking to add some interactive content.
