Stay away as in iffy motors, do not purchase... or dodgy seller, likely to cause problems if questioned?

I know that they are not Duttons, but these two look like easy pickings for the Ford breakers:

Jago chassis

Complete Jago

Sadly James they will probably be offered cash to end it early and get rid. Same old story.

The stripped chassis has enough parts to make a decent basis for any pinto powered restoration, the sum of the parts probably shove it out of my price range.

When you put it that way ....... sadly its a no brainer !!  its just good business sense.

If you were in it for the profit alone then even I have to agree that it would make good sense.

I think these days you just have to make it the best you can and use classifieds rather than auctions and set it at the price you want for the car.

just had a look at your orange leggy. thats a very nice car...

what engine is in it daryl,,?

id buy it if you decide to get rid....

"complete Jago" is actually a eagle rv so Cortina based so not so many parts of interest

im not getting into that discussion. the price of our cars is or should be dictated by the sum of the parts + the tlc not ebay.

Well, I just happened to see that chassis whilst looking at a Dutton in my 'watch' list and realised that it had a whole lot of good parts: Nice wheels for a Rickman (not that I need any), Pinto engine, "Bullitt" box (?), Fuel tank, Atlas axle. Almost any one of those is worth its current £137 bid. Plus it has struts etc.

Trouble is I don't think I could bring myself to do it. Destroying a car that was once someone's pride and joy, into which they poured their time, their money and their dreams, no I couldn't do it. I'd feel dirty.
