Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

Hi all,

Nearly ready to fit shocks onto my Legerra, there were 4 in the boxes of bits that came with it but they are very old and i'm not confident they'll be any good.

2 fit on the back but the fronts are way too short, its a late model with the higher mounting points.

So what size shocks are you guys using and with what spring ratings?

Scott.

Wow that seems way too short, will have to get back in the garage and have a look, is that your front shocks?

got a couple lengths of box section tube where the front coil overs will go just to hold everything up. Just been out for a quick measure up and they look to be about 17" long, that's holding the wishbones about horizontal.

Just had a pic from Adrian and it seems i have a mixture of parts, chassis is series 2 but i've used series 1 wishbones, will fit the series 2 shocks next time i'm in the garage.

Amazingly though my anti-roll bar mounting points are perfectly equal!!!!!!!!!

Equal? On a Legerra? There was a rumour that there was one out there somewhere!

I'm not saying they're both right, they could be both wrong!!!!!

I'll measure the distance between the bolt centres and the front bumper and the front cross member on both of mine. The green one is still 'wrong' , the white one is 'fixed' but untested with a bodyshell...

been looking at the whole front suspension set up, am i right in thinking there is no way to adjust the front wheel camber angle. On my old Locost i had the Transit droplink on the top wishbone to give good adjustment.

The only option i can see for the Legerra is to get some adjustable Escort TCA's but they are quite pricey.
