Just taken delivery and had a little play with a new workshop tool. Rivnuts from a company called Make Ends Meet (Memfast) Bl**dy marvelous.
For the uninitiated, they are a threaded insert rivet, that can be installed in sheet metal or box section, enabaling you to bolt items to the job rather than have to use conventional rivets, thus enabling things to be easily removed if required. I have used similar products in the past but not a touch on these.

Yes ive used those myself , are they the steel or ally type? , they come with a special tool like a riviting gun that sets them, but you can do the job just as well with a bolt , but unless i'm mistaken these are metric , so double check before you use them but they are a god sent item especially on body panels where you would use self tappers and need something stronger
These are the next generation on from the rivet tool type and come in metric and imperial, ally, rubber/brass, steel and stainless steel. MEM have developed their own installation tool.
Having used quite a few ally rivnuts inside the legerra I'll be interested to see this new tool in action Paul.
As a slight side track I may have blagged myself a pillar drill, a bloody big one...
Have you got three phrase then? all you need now is an hydralic lift, and your be sorted, oh and a large shedto store the spares department in
