Just in from the garage but not looking good to make Stoneleigh.

Every simple job just seems to get more complicated! 

On the plus side I have narrowed the transmission tunnel and reduced the boxes over the forward 5 link mountings so the seats can be put in sensible places for me (c. 6' 1") and I've made up the mounts for the drivers seat runners.

Also realised I don't need an MOT for a month so one less thing to do.

Currently messing around with the dash - plan to make a new one but for now I'm just bodging which is not very satisfying.

Does anyone know if you need a car driven speedo for the MOT?  If not I'll use an old phone with a GPS speedo app.

I use an HTC with DigiHUD a free android app, works for me. 

As Pete says, lack of a speedo isn't an MOT fail
