from the back-

isolator switch, main battery cable (full length of car), starter motor to alternator (main charging wire, the guilty party), Tell tale for alternator charge light, brake fluid sensor wires, Any other collateral damage in loom. All caused by careless use of the jetwash and catching the alternator wire on the manifold.

Its warmed up here too but there is still snow in patches and reportedly the roads are still icy in places too. I haven't gone to work as I need to rewire the car ..

Unreal, 6" of snow on our estate, thank goodness for 4X4, get past your house on the way to Wigan this afternoon into Aspull no snow.

Mind you the Southerns wil have been thinking the sky had fallen down this morning, and didn't I say the world will stop if London got snow?

I was outside under the bonnet when it started, wondered why I had water spots on the camshaft !

Its not the worst snowfall in history by any means but still a pain in the backside when you have the engine in bits.

Its still falling so may post an update later, work on the legerra has been suspended although it is back together after finding one valve that was out of adjustment by quite a bit so I hope I have cured my rattle.

Now off out to the garage to carry on with the clear out.

This baby polar bear was sat with his mum on an ice berg.

"Mum," he asked, "am I a real polar bear?"

"Yes darling, of course you are." his mother answered.

"Yeah but, am I a proper polar bear, you know, a real one?"

"Yes dear," his mum replied, "You're dad is a polar bear, I'm a polar bear and your sister's a polar bear."

"I know that mum," he said, "but am I a proper polar bear?"

"Of course you are" said his mum, "now shut up and eat your penguin."

A minute later the baby polar bear asks "Mum, I know what you've said, but am I really a proper polar bear?"

"Look," she says, "you are a proper bloody polar bear alright. What's wrong with you? Why do you keep asking me that?"

"Well," he replies, "I'm Bl***y freezing"
