Sounds like my heater box may not be standard then, I'll get a picture soon
The Dutton Sierra was a ground breaker in that it offered the driver a higher seating position than a normal car without compromising the length and width of the vehicle like the range rover does. I love the stance of the Sierra, mean looking little motor if done right. Should deffo go 'off road' style though.
Shame this one ended up in Belgium or Holland, not even sure its a Sierra anymore to be honest.
This says 1984 - 1986, so maybe the RS is a little older than the production Legerra however Tim must have been designing the Legerra about the same time as mouldings don't appear under the hedge overnight.
I think they are both nice cars in their own right but the RS200 owners would probably string me up for even making the comparison.
I see a lot of RS200 in the Legerra, in fact I assumed that's what it was based on?
The Legerra is an evolution of all Tim's designs. There are hints of all the older models in them if you look hard enough Steve. They also bear a passing resemblance to the RS200 from the front which was in its day a top class super car.
I think some things on the Legerra are just a tad out of place which spoils the design for those people who don't already find it attractive. Once you owned one and driven it I don't think you'll want to go backwards.
I bodge fixed mine 3 years ago, still not right and the air pressure on the screen is pathetic.
The escort heater relied on flaps to select hot/cold so if theres a valve in yours it might not be standard.
Yep, currently without a valve to adjust it though because the old one leaked. Saving that job for next time I drain the coolant. Shame there isn't somewhere nearer the cabin to locate the blower because even with the new blower being twice the wattage of the last one (Townends always buy the most powerful) the air pressure at the cabin isn't that great.
Are you still using the standard escort heater box above the passenger footwell too?
