Phaeton S2 - Draft design for seat belt fixing to transmission tunnel

All this to get secure central seatbelt fixings and still have clearance for the inevitable axle movement. Why didn't Tim Dutton just sit down with a mug of tea and a rich tea biscuit and think it through when he chopped the tub of the S1 for the S2 leaf springs ? Any one got a better solution ?

Thanks Dave. All help appreciated so if you think your solution is better and simpler would appreciate a sketch or photo if possible

I welded new tabs to the same chassis rail Dutton used, when i remade the interior space i re-positioned them to better suit the seating position
