I think my GVW is 3300kg but I may be wrong.
1050kg is not a lot. The trailer that I hired to take my Malaga B+ to Plymouth weighed more than that, unloaded.
What is the GVW? need to know that to work out what the towing weight is. Just trying to compare it to the Citan, that has a braked towing weight of 1050kg
GTW 5300KG - with a 125ps engine I can see that... with the 90ps it struggles badly.
It has a 5.13:1 diff though, great for towing but no top end at all.
Errr... i'll go look, its out the front of the shop...
What is the towing weight of your current Transit Ade?
That is in a sorry state. My first Transit was a mk1 with a V6 and a long snout, never had it legal.
LWB CF was my first van, then the mk1, two special build mk 3's and now a mk6. Backbone of Britain... :)
Had a ex bakers transit, whilst building my house. Overloaded, overworked and overweight most of the time. V4, yes that long ago :-)
My first passion wagon was an old Bedford HA van. Just realised I have never been with out a van, the list in order.....
Bedford HA, Escort Mk1, Escort Mk2, Bedford Midi, Nissan Cabstar, Bedford Rascal, Vauxhall Combo, Vauxhall Combo TDI (now coming to the end of its useful life)
Am looking at the Mercedes Citan (long wheel base) next. Never had a Transit.
Ford Thames Daryl, right dodgy wreck, bit like me now :-))
