And despite that we can't afford to keep even one of the V bombers airborne...

here I am wondering why we bother with all this old engine stuff when new stuff can out perform it hands down and this comes along: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-33766644

I have seen quite a few Scimitars with tubular manifolds, although the cast iron ones were the original fitting. the Scimitar tubular manifolds looked a bit different to what you have there - they drop further, I think.

I was under the impression that Ford used a different engine numbering scheme for Scimitars and TVRs, where they had a letter at the front. I have one block with a T at the front and another that apparently came from a Scimitar with SC at the front. I am not convinced about the SC prefix being for Scimitar though because I thought that Ford engine numbers could start with that too, i.e, May 1976

Zodiac was a 3ltr v6

Thermostat definitely looks like a Scimitar / Zodiac/ Zephyr set up.  Not seen tubular manifolds on a Scimitar, they are normally cast

Not sure but think the engine/exhaust might be scimitar ?

Had the rad custom made with the hose outlet like that so I can run the hose like that and not have a hump over the rack and causes air locks an overheating like all the car with std rads

That engine is a lovely sight! I wish I had done the same with my bottom radiator hose. Is that a custom exhaust?
