Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

Sierra is getting closer, we could do with a weeks worth of good weather, and we'll turn the corner. James ordered to Poly bushes for the front end yesterday on E-bay from Flo-Flex, and they where delivered by 10 am this morning, now that service!!

We picked up an exhaust box at Stafford last week 2" in Twin 2" out, so exhaust will exit from both sides just in front of the rear wheels. Now looking for X-flow exhaust manifold 4-2-1

Dash refurbed and ready to fit just need to make up a loom, missed one on e-bay this week started at 99p ended up over £25.

This looks so much better than the Consel Granada dash it came with. Also made up centre console which will tie the dash top to the trans tunnel.

How many times have I been on that train!!!

Woke up this morning to a strange object in the sky, very bright too. I asked my mum whos 84 what it was, she said she wasn't sure but thought it may be the SUN!!!

Enjoy your ice cream mate.

Removed the front windscreen and fitted a new rubber seal, and re-fitted it, thats the last big job done. That light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter.

Just need to finish the wiring and bleed the brakes, then a bit of tarting up the interior.

Managed to get the radiator fitted, and the wiper assy bolted back in between shows, will still have liquid sunshine in the North.

Also fitted the master cylinder and the brake pipes, just need to buy the calipers and discs now. Only small jobs but move us on to the final phase of the build, the to do list just got a lot shorter.

Back on with the Sierra today, Engine out core plug behind the flywheel replaced and engine back in. Also fitted a tandem master cylinder, clutch cable, Oil pressure feed pipe to the dash and even got the radiator in place, although this needs a bit of work. We had to incline it back about 10 degrees to clear the bonnet, still need to fit electric fan.

We can get back on target now, looking for 2.8 Capri front discs and calipers, not my idea but its what James wants.

Picked up a dual master cylinder for the Sierra today from a local company £15 in working order, now I need to buy the new calipers (James' Birthday prezzie) he's buying the vented discs. Also bought from the same guy a complete Luminition Optical ignition system for a tenner and thats for the Phaeton.
