Any one out there willing to put their hopefully standard (as near as possible) Dutton Phaeton (or a Malaga B+) on a show stand for the duration of a show with 20-30 similar early kit cars at Donnington?
The car should be as early as possible with a tidy appearance and on as near as possible contemporary wheels and as close too the factory design as is feasible, it does not need to be a concourse car just tidy. Something to show us all in a good light. Suggestions please.

John's is a nice looking car, if only we had Greg Mott's Melos as that was one of the best Melos's around. (In scotland now uI believe though not heard anything of it after Greg sold it.
Ian Stent was very specific about what car would get on the stand, Phaeton, as early as possible, clean tidy and above all else original. I honestly think I need to push John into sprucing the phaeton up as it's a factory built car and there were very few of these, even less left now.
John, what do you need to bring it up to 'show' standard and is there anything you need help with.
is it correct in terms of spec (trickey one and there are so many 'spec's) or a good looking one. Don't we want to be presenting the best looking cars to raise the club profile?
We're up for suggestions and nominations on this guys. All the recent rebuilds seem to have gone 'hi tech' and we really need something retro.
It would have to be delivered on the friday and collected sunday afternoon, probably after the show has closed.
John, its the 1st and 2nd of september, can you let me have some pictures of the car? preferably large ones and by email so I can have a proper look?
If Alfie and John cannot be persuaded to put either car on a show stand we will still need a tidy example of a standard car to be on show....i would put mine up there but it is a long way from standard.....
email me Alfie.....i have a cunning plan.
