good luck for tomorrow (MOT)
Cheers mate, fingers crossed...
Oh Yes! get in there, passed first time and found the rumble in the process, turns out the prop rear UJ is stuffed.

it's not hard to replace the hardy spicer joint*.......not too expensive to get prop shaft overhauled and re balanced either.

* smashed mine to bits the first week i got my Malaga B+ in the 90's

Already stripped down Dave has you can see from the photo, if I can pick one up today she be on the road for dinner.

The job is done, I now have a fully functioning Dutton (until something else drops off) The uj was pressed in by a mate this morning. I bought it from North West Propshafts 30 flaming quid because it is the pressed in type which is getting rarer, they offered to make me a brand new prop for £98. He told me that they manufacture for a few KIt Car suppliers.

Test drive and no rumble, I had got used to it over the last 12 months or so, and now it smoothish.

I have also changed my headlamps back to sealed beams with stainless mesh guards, after the MOT tester found one of the Angel eyes headlamps was a left hand drive unit, he passed it anyway has he had passed it the last 2 years. I had got fed up with them though, I like the retro look, For now the sealed beams will do I'll replace them with H4 bulb types next.

Seems their prices may have gone up a tad since I had the Sierra done then.
