Been flat out the last 4 months and hardly touched the s4 but this is nearly ready for the british GP at the weekend
slowing down so I had an early finnish an left at 8 tonight

Miss the cut and thrust and the excitement but sure don't miss the late nights and last minute all nighters

just noticed your pic with the tickford engine-is that on the Judd ? we ran the 5 valve head in F1 years ago-one of the worst seasons we have ever had !
Never thought I could do without the cut an thrust an excitement but been doing it nearly 30 years now an its wearing a bit thin,must of been young an stupid an loved the 100 hr weeks but now we are on a massive scale and more corprate an only doing 65/70hr weeks an not the same fun

Started my aprenticeship at Astons then moved to Tickford engineering, then Prodrive, then a bit at Millbrook proving ground then Tickford Powertrain, where I am now.
The engine is the Tickford Group C varient of the Aston Martin V8, seen in the back of the Cheetah G604, despite the claims of one Tom Walkinshaw, the Cheetah was the first car in group c to race a carbon fibre chassis.

Man that's some work history, I am in awe and as green as my Phaeton.
I mithered Derek Bennet, Chevron Cars every Friday afternoon after school (1971) trying to get a Saturday job or Apprenticeship to no avail, ended up at a flaming Ford dealers.

Yep, Paul Diggins (drez) by Woody I assume you mean Mike woods who I did work with quite a bit, didn't have anything to do with ghc.

I also hope the weather improves for the race day, its currently chucking it down in Bolton.

I can relate to the last minute presures etc, and all nighters, i get that sometimes in my profession, but my work is a bit more basic, heavy enginnering you might call it heavy in that it weighs several tons and cant be just moved out the way when it goes wrong ,
some of us do have very interesting places of work
