Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

Ok here's my question to you clever folk. The s2 is progressing ok. The front is good as done. Few bits to clean and paint then fit (other than coilovers). The rear is sorted on paper just need to order and have a weekend welding. Again this is in hand. The engine mounts are good as sorted thanks to my fellow Hertfordshirian. Thanks Paul. Other than a gearbox mount I could have a rolling chassis soon. So here's the question. Once done do I need to fit anything else before the tubs are fitted. Coz once those buggers are in and resined together I don't want to be taking out????? Hope makes sense.

New seat belt mounts....
improve or renew handbrake mounts.....
Good thinking Mr A. I get the feeling you've done this before. Cheers
I am also rebuilding an S2 but to say the least it's an ongoing project. If you look on Photos you will see my solution for seat belt fixings inside the transmission tunnel. My bracket is in heavy gauge welded aluminium with cross bracing but is a bolted not welded solution simply because it can be easily removed to remove the tub and give access to the transmission and handbrake fixings. Out of interest I am also bonding aluminium plates to the underside of the tub for protection just in case of impact from below. Hope this gives you some ideas.
Thanks lennard. I'll have a look now sounds a clever cookie idea tho.

Cannot think where you would get that idea.... ;-)
