Hi Tim I am back home now, what are your feeling on getting the site back to full strengh, with donations from the members?
Drop me a mail perhaps we can get together and discuss soon.
You will be able to follow The Northern Duttoneer's blog, as we travel the Coast to Coast route through some of the best country roads in Britain.
At every chance I'll try to update you on the progress we are making. The run starts on the 4th September with the drive to the starting point at St Bee's Head in Cumbria, after an overnight stay there we set off on the Sunday to travel the 189 miles to Robin Hood's Bay on the East coast, visiting Hartside Cafe (highest cafe in the UK) then on to Alston (Highest Market Town in the UK) before crossing the Pennines and into the North Yorkshire Dales with a Lunch stop at Richmond. Then on to our goal the East coast village of Robin Hood's Bay.
After another overnight stop, we head back home via Leyburn, Kettlewell, with Lunch at Skipton. Then Home for Tea.
If the weather buck's up it will be an amazing drive, and if it rains well we'll get a bit wet.
Isn't that what Duttoneering is all about?
I can chip in towards the site upkeep,......is it worth looking at a site along the lines of Mr G's forum and transfer the the forum posts off here? (as an idea for reducing costs etc.)
The Mr g site is OK but, this was easier and quicker to use. I use a few forum sites based on MrG format, and they all do my head in, with multipule storeage of pictures and video. The ning site works, it just expensive. I am waiting for Tim to get back to me so we can move it on, he maybe on holiday at the moment.
The Northern Duttoneer's have a PayPal account now, so see what Tim say's, then we can all decide what's best.
Hi Mike how's the Seirra coming along? We moved James' into the back garden yesterday, so I can get stuck in on the rebuild.
I now have space since the Caravan was badly damaged travelling back from France last week with a blow out, it won't be back until October so that's now the target to be back on the road.
