Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

Does anyone out there have a template for the exact drilling points for a Phaeton S3 bonnet hinge as I've stripped the bonnet and spoiler off the car to repair the bonnet under where the spoiler fits.

I'm thinking I might glass in the spoiler and make it a permenant part of the bonnet but the spoiler does hit the anti roll bar so wanted to check the position I have is correct before I mod the spoiler.

Thanks

Neville given that Duttons are notorious for no two moldings  being the same, your best bet would be to place the bonnet in the closed position and set it correctly. Then mark the bonnet through the bolt holes on the hinge so you know it is in exactly the right position. That's how I would do it.

I do away with the Dutton hinge an I mount a section of 1/2" tube across the front of the car resting on/fitted to the front most chassis member
No holes drilled in the GRP, bodywork isn't stressed and it spreads the load across the front of the car
When its all mounted up I glass the 1/2' tube to the body where it touched under both headlights

Check out my s1 rebuild thread.....

Thanks for the advice guys, much appreciated.
