there was a discussion on here a while ago on the side appearance of Legera's.........
I am interested in those side on pictures again. also the ride height from the ground (lowest chassis rail to the road surface gap.)
also .....if its possible on those cars which have a low stance. the distance from the top wishbone to the top chassis rail......mine is only about 3/4" to 1" giving about 2" to 2 1/2" wheel movement before the wishbone fouls the chassis.
Also i would like the wheel size and tyre size. i am looking at fitting Peugeot 406 wheels to my Legerra they are 14" or 15" standard and larger sizes are available (not by me!) 6J, 18mm ET. my plan is to fit 185/60 or 195/60 tyres rather than the 205 tyres it has right now (which are too wide for the car bodywork)

My Rickman Ranger came with steel Peugeot 205 GTI (apparently) wheels on. I believe that they were a loose fit on the Ford hubs.
I can't find the article on here but I have an Excel file with a date of 07/08/2013 in which I did calculations from various photos and came up with the following table ('clearance' was measured between the top of the tyre and the bottom of the rear wheel arch) :

185/55/13's taken 1st September 2007. Drove it like this for ages with no fouling problems at all apart from the turning circle issue.
195/60/15's current set up causes fouling on the rear edge of the front left arch possibly due to bush wear as well as tyre dimensions. front setup needs to be changed to height adjustable shocks as the current ones are crap. The rear has been raised by 1/2 inch since this photo was taken and I now don't have rear arch fouling either.
I have a set of 14's on the Sierra which will be used on here eventually as I prefer the dished look on the legerra.
Cheers Steve... looks a bit sorry for it's self a year later though.
I'm absolutely certain its the same issue, my anti roll bar is out of line and it is pushing the n/s wheel back.
Using the bodywork to line it up is a no no though as the body isn't quite symmetrical either.
slight change of subject... isn't it typical to run out of welding gas five minutes after the local shop shuts...
the wheel base being different either side is not much of an issue......Renaults have made cars that way for years the Gordini Renault 5 is one for a start.
for the looks of the thing i am getting the wheels as central as i can.
i have removed the shocker and jacked the wheel as high as it will go before the top wishbone fouls the chassis, however you can see the wheel is now almost bang in the centre of the wheel arch.
The mirrors on mine are from a KA. I removed the backing plate altogether and managed to get the adjuster far enough through to make it workable. Mine catch (just) on the door frame if you go past a certain point. If i'd gone 1/2 inch further forward it would have cleared.
They don't look bad Dave, you doing them black or red?
