Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

The car arrived yesterday after a bit of hassle getting it moved from Scotland. It looks solid and a good base for a project but as usual there is more work to do than originally planned.

The main jobs are, the brakes need freeing off, hardly any of the electrics are working, pedal box needs bracing as it flexes horribly, track control arm to replace, rear wheel bearing, cooling system to look at and fan to fit. The front bodywork has some bad cracks that need repairing. On the good side, i've had it running and it sounds sweet and I moved it in to the unit under its own power.

Any rough idea on price ???

Tonight marks the end of the project thread, the car was collected by the new owner this evening. I had a lot of fun getting it back on the road and enjoyed one last drive in it last night. The new owner seemed very happy and set off on his way home after he had filled up with fuel.

So... when do you want to collect the next one....

Seriously Pete, you did a good job getting it back on the road and I bet your sorry its gone now but another one will happen, you can never get it out of the blood mate.

Well it is the 4th one i've owned so never say never! I was a bit sad to see it go, he had already found the project thread on here so will hopefully become a user
