And we weighed the bare chassis as 75Kg, thanks for indulging me Nick,

Just got it back from the blasters and no holes and all steel is good. James dropped in at the right time this afternoon and helped to move the chassis, Thankyou James.
Undercoat is now on and can start rebuilding next week :)

Just make sure it is welded......mine isn't and don't do the job it should. ....:-(

Its not a 'weak area' the whole rail moves a small amount over its entire length thereby causing the deflection in the body which takes the path of least resistance which happens to be door shut.. If you add a 1 inch x 1.5 inch box using 2.5 or 3 mm wall along the lower edge and seam weld it with a slight curve in the opposite direction it counteracts the curve  and stops the door fouling.

Cool, good idea as there is a bit of flex in the floor in front of the seats. The front of that chassis looks very rusty, although it looks like surface rust.

They will sit flush with the floor. There is a 2inch drop in the tub so should fit snug across the footwell I did measure so hopefully it works out :)

Silly question department... the new diagonals .. do they actually touch the floor of the car or sit flush with the lower side of the main rail?

It's very solid this chassis, I'm expecting to find something :/
