Turns out this perfect block I got eBay is not so perfect.  Found a siezed cross-threaded sheered off bolt projecting from the rear.  Been heating the block to shift the bolt, put the blow torch on the block and all the nice new black paint blistered.  Not high temp paint me thinks.  The seller also claimed there no oval-ness to the bores, there is, but it is better than my other block.
