Not done any strenghing yet just replaced the seat mounting strips and put a strip across for the rear of the seat. Once I've altered the chassis for the gearbox I'm going to strengthen it.
Is it possible to see picture of the underside of your car James?

almost wish i was going that far the further i get into mine the more horrors i discover.

your chassis strengthening looks a bit minimal....you planning on making it a little bigger?

I plan to do something like that with the type 9 box Adrian emailed me pics of his so got a rough idea what's going to happen

Mine is different around the gearbox mounting where the original cross member has been cut away and a short bridging tube fitted underneath the openning.

Crappy welding will be going over the hole chassis before I get it blasted I hope

I broke my collar bone and had to have operation to correct, couldn't drive for a while so took the legerra off the road and kept the s3 on the road. Will be fitting the type 9 shortly and cutting the chassis.
