Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

Last year i asked for some items for the agm and brought a small list with me.
however i am hoping for a better response than last year in light of recent events.....
i do not think it a good idea to post nominees for committee positions directly on here but won't forbid it. however feel free to email me at the club email: secretary@duttonownersclub.co.uk or dutton.sec@gmail.com

I am in the odd position of agreeing with both Daryl and Martin.
at last years AGM (or just before/after i don't remember ) there was some discussion about club / bonnet badges and it was felt that we should preserve the clubs history.
Its a nod to that history that made me look at last years prototype bonnet badge and try to improve on it for my self.
The original design was inspired and i think in an odd way it works for duttons. The prancing horse for ferrari is for spirit the galoping horse is used by Mustang. since most duttons are off the road perhaps we should use a horse laid down or stood still.... ;-)

p.s. the enamel badge will be just the oval with white border unless there is a demand for it to also be made oblong......

it has been proposed and seconded that i put my new badges up for adoption by the club as new official club logo's. These are the nominated designs.....

this one for the new window sticker, (it will be 7.5cm wide) and possibly have the black oblong part as well which you could, if you wish trim with scissors.

and...

The proposal is for this to be a bonnet/nose cone badge, and be an enamel badge of about 2" wide.

There were other designs in the making of these, some with red and blue borders, however the two above seen to have the most appeal on here. if any one wishes to propose one of the other designs let me know.

Treasurers report...this has been an ongoing issue for me this last year, our current treasurer has all sorts of issues at home which take her time. this i hope will be resolved by stoneleigh. It has been frustrating to deal with it.

Website, this is an issue that has been rumbling on for a few years, i have been looking to get a professional company to revamp (errr replace totally) the site and give us quotes, however nothing can be done because i dont have the clubs financial position so dont know what we could in theory afford.

Monthly newsletter, Since this forum is so active and probably consists of those members who are active on the net anyway i cannot see what benefit would be derived from it. its on the list for stoneleigh and the agm. but along with the proposal someone will have to be found to produce it and email it out. this last point is more of an issue than the fact of voting for it i think.

Dutton torque on time.....this is something that is an obvious issue but is more complicated than just producing it since the production of it involves several members. It would be an idea to have the membership lists "online" and securely password protected so that committee members have easy and ready access to the lists. But the mailing of the DT is not the only problem, as ever the lack of material is where the problem lies, it may be better to have the club commit to a lower minimum number a year but the aim of producing more i.e. 2 minimum and 4 ideally....

postal vote...its on the list for the AGM, however my views on this have been posted elsewhere.

We will have to allocate funds so that regalia can be purchased.

Tents at shows...Nick Chick is taking the club tent to Stoneleigh this year in his Benito, we will have to decide which other shows a tent will be required and where it will be coming from.

I would like to propose an 'opt in' directory of members to be published on the members section of the DOC website.

Information contained therein to be discussed however I would suggest the following as a minimum.

FIRST NAME

TOWN

VEHICLE MAKE AND MODEL

optional info to include

EMAIL OR TELEPHONE NUMBER

The information can be obtained from the database / renewal/application forms and the use of a tick box system will ensure that no one gets put on that doesn't want to be there.
