Just means the donor car was the same age.

Not bothered about the escort mob but I can see this being cloned onto an MK if it goes cheap. Shame.

Steve, much though I appreciate that the car may be newer, safer and prettier than the dutton it pretends to be, simple fact is someone has bent the rules and been caught out. He's not the first and probably won't be the last. 

If this seller is the one who swapped the ID then he doesn't really have the right to complain. If he bought it like that then he needs to take it up with the person he bought if from. The car looks like its seen a fair bit of 'use' and if its configured as a track car then its best staying that way. I sympathize with people who buy cloned cars in ignorance however it's not really a valid excuse any more as its been well publicized in the kit car press and on the internet.
